Handy Hearts Home Chore Services

Home/Programs/AboutUs/Links/Publications

SouthWest Improvement Council - SWIC offers minor home chore assistance to people age 65 and older in urban southwest Denver. Examples include changing locks, lights and furnace filters; minor plumbing or electrical repairs; leaves and yard clean-up; and many others.

Clients must provide the materials required; however Handy Hearts volunteers can assess a project and make recommendations on the required materials.

Handy Hearts Home Chores are typically jobs that can be completed in several hours and/or within one to two visits.

Volunteers have successfully passed a background check.

Handy Hearts is funded by The Colorado Trust through the Healthy Aging Initiative and the Rose Community Foundation.

NEW! Home Safety Assessments. SWIC will check your home for things that might cause YOU to fall. Falls are the leading cause of death in Colorado.
