SWIC Neighborhood Council Meetings; 2nd Thursday each month at 5:45 p.m. The meeting includes agenda items that are important to the Westwood and surrounding neighborhoods, free dinner and door prizes. SWIC's Community Garden offers neighbors the opportunity to grow fresh produce for a small fee per plot of garden space. Community garden participants must follow all rules and timelines related to planting, harvesting and winterizing. For additional information contact Jenny Nguyen at 303-934-8063.
SWIC's Youth Corps engage young people in promoting and rewarding community service and projects. Youth have assisted with food box distributions, raking leaves and other projects that empower them to connect to their community. For more information contact SWIC at 303-934-8057.
SWIC's Sewing Group (Sew B' It) works every Tuesday to make blankets for premature infants. They also create quilts, clothing and other items that are used to benefit the community. In addition, the group is affiliated with The Table Mountain Treasures Doll Club. The club sponsors an annual holiday party for over 150 children ages ranging from infant to 13 years. SWIC Facility Rentals; Sandos Hall and Eagle-Bear Hall are available for rent. Deposits and hourly rates apply. No alcohol or kitchen available. For more information contact Jenny Nguyen at 303-934-8063.
