Adventist Community Services 303-935-7386 at 5045 W. 1st Avenue. M,T,W,Th 9:30 a.m - 11:45 a.m. & 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. They have a food bank and probably other emergency assistance. They may have no boundaries.

Auraria Community Center - 303-534-7614 at 647 Lipan St. It is a type of membership "club". You pay $10 and you get (they say) 4 times that amount in groceries (and sometimes extras such as shampoo, soap etc.)

You must call 24 hours in advance and they will tell you when to come and pick it up. They are open M-F generally 9-12 for pick ups and you can call usually anytime during regular business hours. You can also just go by to see the kind of things you get without making any commitment - just call ahead. Dorothy and Renee are two of the contact people.

Share of Colorado - the main office phone is 303-428-0400. The Share "Outlet" nearest to SWIC is The Road Runners 303-934-9114. They are located in the basement of Montview Community Church at 3939 West Florida.

Generally registration/order day is the second Saturday of the month and pick-up day is the 4th Saturday of the month. Their hours are 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. on these days. You can pay and register/order for the next month's share on either of those days. The shares cost $20 and $10 (for a smaller one). It is estimated that you get $35-$40 worth of food for $20. You must also do 2 hrs. of community service ( at your Church, or anywhere - even the share program itself) as part of your payment. The kinds of things you get are canned and fresh of the following categories - fruit, vegetable, meat, potatoes, etc. Another Share "Outlet" is Grace Baptist Church 303-936-9119 at 395 Knox Court.
